Ferox vst download
Jun 25 Jason May 02 May 02 The best of the best. The closest tape sim ever. This baby blows them all away. Jan 28 C Dec 24 Dec 24 Ken B Sept 02 Sept 02 As the others say Gives gentle warmth or crazy distortion, with deakys! Tim May 29 May 29 I had this one for years, it's really old but stands the test of time.
Very useful on all sorts of signals. Doesn't wash out the audio like many other plugs do. Nice for srums, just turn up recording level that's all.
It adds something you can't hear much but completes the drum sound. Underpass 47 Nov 16 Nov 16 I would say this is my most used plugin. Drums, vocals, banjo, bass I've used it in vst winds with great results as well.
The hysterisis ecxites the high frequencies, the saturation adds harmonic distortion.. When you hear it though, it's the missing element. John Sept 23 Sept 23 Very close to authentic but missing something like all analog emulations do. Still is better than most others. Cognoscentis Jul 02 Jul 02 Bob Dobbs Jan 16 Jan 16 Plugins can be a pain in the butt to keep track of over time when mixes no longer work cause I can't find that one plugin.
Well, this particular plugin is one that I would be really sad if it disappeared from the internet. Only Me May 17 May 17 This little baby is really good at rounding off all the digital edges and adding noise.
One of my favorite plugins. It is great for saturation, but it is also a fantastic analog delay. Analog Noise Jan 11 Jan 11 I thought this was gone for good. Looking forward to test this one!
Rico May 31 May 31 Best for saturation I love it makes everything sound more pro.. May 05 Holy hell. Simply the best tape saturation VST out there. Can't believe it's free. Brings out LUSH harmonics. Use it sparingly on my drum buss. It's the nature of limiters, they are stupid and release time dependant. Additionally, tape has a certain amount of noise which actually helps carry the sound.
A certain amount of noise in a recording can actually be a good thing, dithering being a classic example. So, finally the point of all this waffle A good tape simulator will not only tame your peaks in a way that prevents the good stuff being compromised.
It also adds the distortion and noise characteristic's that make us feel warm inside. Download it and do a little test. Drums are perfect for this due to their massive peak to RMS ratio.
Find or create a snare track, limit it with ANY limiter you care to use. Now do the same thing with Ferox and see which one sounds better. My money is on your choosing the tape simulation.
